Old Leaves returns with his long anticipated sophomore album Wind in The Trees. It delivers raw American folk at its finest. As with his first album, Old Leaves has invited some of the most talented artists to join him on his musical endeavors.
Old leaves creates a clean acoustic album that somehow doesn’t feel like an acoustic album. While simultaneously playing guitar, harmonica, and tambourine, he then layers brass, strings, and vocal harmonies with the special guests he brought along to create Where I Belong.

Old Leaves is an indie-folk band comprised of Christian Cardenas and any of his friends who are kind enough to lend a hand. Sometimes mercenaries are involved.
Christian is from Yuba City, California and currently haunting the Inland Empire of Southern California. He has a “real” job, so music is done out of love, not out “Tryin’ to make the big time!”. Which is fortunate, since he would most likely starve if he needed his music to appeal to the masses.
“In 2005, I got a free skate video in my Thrasher Magazine subscription. Real skateboards “Roll Forever”. The last part was Dennis Busenitz shredding like a MONSTER. But the SONG playing on his part really struck me. I checked the credits and got the album. The song was “Face it” by Old Canes, off the album “Early Morning Hymns”. That record lit a FIRE in me. It inspired me to pick up the guitar. It showed me how beautifully raw, how energetically melancholy, how frenetically artful acoustic music could be.
Old Canes is why I chose the name Old Leaves. Thanks Thrasher, Thanks Real skateboards, and Thanks Old Canes/Christopher Crisci, wherever you are!”
